Mark Hellman has over 25 years of professional experience as an actor, singer, musician, dancer, puppeteer, director, independent producer, and educator.  He participated in the first National Voice Intensive in 1986, and has studied with some of North America's premier voice and speech teachers, including David Smukler, Dale Genge, Ralph Cole, and Roderick Menzies.  Mark has performed with professional theatres across Canada including Centaur Theatre (Montreal), Prairie Theatre Exchange (Winnipeg), and the Belfry Theatre (Victoria), and has also toured extensively in the United States (Wolf Trap Festival, Brooklyn Academy of Music, Smithsonian).  He has taught at Concordia University and Dawson College (Mtl), has designed educational programs for ages 9-99, and is the founder and director of the Vic High Neighbourhood Choir, now entering its fifth season.

While living in Montreal, Mark performed in numerous principle roles for film an television for a variety of independent and national producers including CBC (Grand Larceny), Telescene (Malarek), Winter Films (The Other Prison) and Ciupka Films (Heritage Minutes: Frontenac, Jaques Plante).  Mark's extensive off-camera experience includes narrating documentaries for the National Film Board, acting in radio drama for CBC and Radio Canada International, dubbing voices for films and television series, voice over for hundreds of radio commercials, and creating voices for a host of animated films and series, including White Fang, The Paper Bag Princess, Sharky and George, Young Robin Hood, and the cult favourite Samurai Pizza Cats.
